With the SHORT EXPORT – MADE IN GERMANY 2021 program once again and for the 16th time, outstanding German short films travel the world. In an unconventional yet authentic manner, they deal with change and challenges, home, arrival and overcoming trauma. The six current films were selected from 455 German submissions to the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival and illustrate the artistic stylistic and thematic diversity of German short filmmaking. The project is a Franco-German cooperation between AG Kurzfilm – German Short Film Association, German Films, Goethe-Institut Lyon, Kurzfilm Agentur Hamburg and Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival.

ExScreen is a screening series of KLEX Festival, aiming to introduce experimental films and videos to a larger audience in Malaysia. Realizing the lack of exposure for the local audience to see and discuss about contemporary cinematic works with an alternative, unconventional and experimental approach, ExScreen aims to provide the platform for the appreciation, conversation and exchange of experimental cinema.
