Presentation Description: “Integral Multiplicity”

Building on analysis of works in multiple time frames for telematic music, Weaver expands this into a compositional concept of “Integral Multiplicity” to additionally encompass music elements such as pitch, timbre, dynamics, and style. Examples and implications of the concept will be discussed in relation to composition, improvisation, gesture, notation, and culture, in her works for solo, ensemble, and telematic mediums.
