KLEX is going to be 10 years old! It’s quite a journey for this artist and volunteer-run international festival to persist and keep running for a decade. The 10th edition of KLEX is looking for submissions for its open film & video programmes. The theme of this year is very simple and open to interpretation: “0 1” (Zero – One).

“0” is nothing, none, not at all. But everything starts from 0. “1” is the beginning of things, the first step to take for endless possibilities, predicted or unpredicted, planned or surprises, mixed and matched. “0” and “1” are the basis of all existence. The concept has been explored throughout time, from the ancient Chinese book of divination I-Ching (“Book of Change”), to the binary codes of computing that are the foundations of our daily life in the 21st century.

Use “0 1” as a source of inspiration and imagination to produce work for KLEX 10th year birthday! We’re awaiting your new work, starting from NOW!
